The College of Physical Therapy at Deraya University aims to provide students with all scientific and practical knowledge and skills, as well as to develop effective educational means and media, in order to graduate specialists who are capable of providing high-quality therapists, researchers, and community service providers who can compete effectively in the health field regionally and internationally. Development and improvement of the physical therapy profession in all specialties so that graduates may compete in the regional and international job market while providing the highest quality of care to our patients.

Mission

The College of Physical Therapy - Deraya University is committed to preparing a graduate capable of effectively participating in treating patients' health problems, raising health awareness in the community, and achieving professional and research competitions at the local, regional, and international levels.

In the framework of academic cooperation between two Deraya universities in Egypt and the University of Rhode Island, United States of America, Deraya University was honored to host the American expert Professor/ Peter Blanbide, professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Rhode Island, United States. Where the professor taught the third-year students of the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Deraya University in the fields of orthopedics and sports injuries. In addition, the professor has given a full practical training course on the latest techniques of manual therapy for the spine for teaching members and their assistants at the Faculty of Physical Therapy and a training workshop for students on the subject of neck injuries.

Professor Peter was very impressed with Deraya University and the level of education and academic support at the College of Physical Therapy
