Role of Gluteus Maximum from a Functional Point of View
The gluteus Maximus is the largest muscle in the human body and plays a crucial role in functional movements. It acts as a hip extensor, which allows us to perform movements such as walking, running, jumping, and climbing stairs. It is crucial for actions like squatting and carrying large objects since it stabilizes the hip and pelvis as well. In addition, by opposing the upper body’s forward bend, the gluteus Maximus aids in maintaining good posture and balance. The gluteus Maximus is a flexible muscle that is necessary for physical exercise and daily motion.
