At Deraya, we believe that medical and educational caravans are vital humanitarian initiatives designed to empower individuals and enhance their developmental opportunities. Accordingly, Deraya has taken significant steps to empower high school students in Upper Egypt, ensuring they have the support needed to pursue their higher education and achieve long-term success.
While our educational caravans are primarily academic, we place a profound emphasis on the socio-educational dimension. This approach fosters critical awareness, helping community members deeply understand and connect with their surrounding environment.
Every year, Deraya University conducts extensive regional visits across various Upper Egypt governorates, engaging with over 1,500 high school students per day in each location. Collaborating with prominent educators in each region, these caravans offer intensive review sessions across core subjects—including English, Arabic, Chemistry, Physics, History, and Mathematics—to comprehensively support students in their academic journey and exam preparation.
During these visits, our dedicated team introduces prospective students to university life, exploring Deraya’s diverse colleges, enrollment privileges, and vibrant campus support system.
Parallel to these academic outreach efforts, Deraya is deeply committed to community service, actively organizing adult literacy initiatives where university faculty and students volunteer to teach reading and writing to underprivileged individuals
