Deraya’s university-wide Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center maintains all records related to accreditation, licensure, and quality assurance; assists colleges in preparing self-study reports and securing accreditation; and runs seminars and short courses that build a culture of quality across the university. Deraya continues to pursue accreditation from relevant national, regional, and international bodies, including Egypt’s National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
Deraya University operates under Presidential Decree No. 91/2010 as a private, not-for-profit higher-education institution, supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Oversight is provided by the Council of Private Universities, chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The decree permits ten colleges, four are operating and six more — Medicine, Nursing, Computer Science & AI, Art & Design, Mass Communication and Linguistics — have received approval to open.
Deraya’s Accreditation & Quality Assurance Unit supports every college in meeting national standards, including NAQAAE accreditation and requirements from relevant international bodies.
