Demonstrating this active collaboration, several faculty members from Deraya’s College of Pharmacy attended eight specialized seminars in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, hosted by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics (PSET) at the University of Iowa.
Since Fall 2021, Deraya University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have maintained a strategic collaboration focusing on education and research. The primary objectives of this agreement include:

Notably, Deraya is the first university in Egypt to partner with the Center for Innovation in Pharmacy Education and Research (CIPhER) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. CIPhER offers specialized training courses, seminars, and summer institute sessions dedicated to advancing the pedagogical and teaching skills of faculty members.
As part of the ongoing academic collaboration between Deraya University and the University of Rhode Island (URI), USA, Deraya proudly hosted a delegation of distinguished professors from URI. The visiting scholars delivered specialized lectures to students and faculty, and conducted intensive, hands-on workshops designed to train academic staff and teaching assistants on innovative and advanced pedagogical methodologies.
In Fall 2021, Deraya University and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), USA, entered into a collaborative agreement focusing on education and research. This partnership notably facilitates clinical exchange opportunities, allowing Deraya’s physical therapy interns to complete portions of their internship program at UTMB in Texas.
Deraya students have trained at the prestigious University of Glasgow, gaining exposure to top-tier British dental education alongside their studies at Deraya’s College of Dentistry.
Deraya University has hosted delegations of students from Aqaba Medical Sciences University (AMSU), Jordan, for hands-on laboratory training and clinical technique workshops, including sessions in Endodontics, Periodontics, and 3D printing technology.
