We provide resources, workshops, and support to educators across all disciplines and career stages, fostering an innovative and collaborative academic community. In collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), we proudly organize courses tailored to elevate the academic experiences of our community members.
The Teaching and Learning Center develops Deraya’s educational process by offering ongoing training and development for faculty members and support staff on modern educational systems and strategies. This includes courses, workshops, as well as continuous support and guidance regarding innovative teaching methods and their implementation within the university.
Deraya University, in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), conducted three high-level training workshops in July 2023. These successful sessions were tailored for the faculty and staff of the colleges of Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, and Business Administration:
Key topics covered during these workshops included the opportunities and challenges of hybrid education, utilizing AI to stimulate learning, deep vs. surface learning, formative vs. summative assessment, Bloom’s taxonomy, workplace problem-solving techniques, effective communication tools to enhance team dynamics, and strategic delegation and empowerment techniques.
These workshops are integral to the university’s ongoing plan to enhance teaching and assessment quality while keeping pace with global advancements in higher education.
