Deraya University’s community service activities have reached 42 villages across Minya Governorate, including 20 villages in Upper Minya out of a total of 33 villages, and 22 villages in Lower Minya out of a total of 44 villages, reflecting the university’s extensive reach and commitment to providing community services across the governorate (as of October 2025).
Mobile teams of clinicians, faculty, and trained students provide screenings, counseling, basic treatment, and referrals to advanced care when needed.
Recent Highlights
100 patients served.
165 patients: Diagnostics, counseling, and on-site services.
62 elderly and 17 children screened: Convoy held in memory of Alaa Bahgat Bakr (Pharmacy student).
40 staff screened with appropriate referrals.
All outreach follows Deraya’s clinical governance and safeguarding policies; complex cases are referred to partner providers.
We empower prospective learners to recognize their academic potential and effectively plan their next educational steps. Each typical event engages over 1,500 students, teachers, and counselors through interactive talks, workshops, and Q&A sessions spanning English, Arabic, Chemistry, Physics, History, and Mathematics.

Deraya University also offers programs for high school students, such as workshops, training sessions, and student exchange programs. These types of programs provide prospective students with a glimpse of what university life at Deraya is like.
As part of Deraya’s commitment to our community, the university is committed to providing community service within the community. Deraya University provides free treatment and awareness services through its medical caravans to Nile Egyptian School, Minya Branch, Minia British School, Rajac School, and STEM MISR.
We host on-campus days with lab visits and simulation sessions, run wellbeing camps that build emotional intelligence through sport and the arts, and offer bridge programs that preview university learning.
