To meet the diverse instructional and research demands of Deraya University’s colleges, including Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Dentistry and Business Administration, the Main Library hosts a vast collection of printed books in both Arabic and English, supplemented by extensive electronic resources. The library’s contemporary interior design prioritizes student privacy, offering individual study units equipped with high-speed internet and personal computers. Additionally, a dedicated, fully equipped computer lab is available to facilitate comprehensive digital research and internal study.
Every year, the Main Library expands its holdings with the latest scholarly and cultural resources in both Arabic and English through active participation in the Cairo International Book Fair. To ensure the acquisition of specialized textbooks and references, the university collaborates directly with leading local and international publishing houses, fulfilling the precise academic needs of our faculties and students.
The Main Library utilizes the Future Library System (FLS) under the Supreme Council of Universities to fully automate its operations and services, optimizing workflow efficiency. Furthermore, the library provides complimentary access to the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), connecting students and faculty to global databases via their university emails. Our specialized team offers hands-on guidance to help users create EKB accounts and master digital research.
