Health and Wellness

At Deraya we recognize that personal problems can sometimes impact your ability to achieve your goals while you are studying. Health and wellness involve taking care of the whole of yourself, including physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This can include regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and seeking medical attention when necessary. Additionally, practicing self-care and developing healthy habits can help improve overall well-being and prevent illness. It’s important to remember that health and wellness are ongoing journeys, not a destination and that different things work for different people. If you are upset, worried, or struggling with an issue while you are at University, consulting a healthcare professional might improve the situation.

It's your Health, It's your Wellness.

Anxiety disorders impact almost 6% of us around the world, with women affected nearly twice as often as men. Over the course of their lifetime, more than 30% of people may be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. Despite how common it is, many of us have a hard time opening up about our experience with anxiety and how it affects us and those around us. This can rob us of enjoyment of everyday things. And we also don’t seek help or support from others because we are silent. We want to change that, as well as help makes treatment more accessible for everyone. But, to do that, you have to start with yourself.

The use of meditation, helps you to access a universal human ability — the ability of the mind to be at ease. Choose your meditation style to be compatible with your culture, philosophy, beliefs, or lifestyle. There are different types of meditation for those, facing illness and pandemics In addition to guided meditations for stress relief and relaxation in traumatic times. There are many practices that can promote health and well-being that helps to have a better and comfy life for all community members – students, faculty, and staff.

Concern can be the source of worry. Writing down the thoughts and coming up with an alternative response to them is a basic cognitive behavioral therapy approach for dealing with unfavorable, worrisome, or unpleasant thoughts. You can practice treating your anxious or concerned thoughts with kindness and compassion by Challenging Your Thoughts With Kindness.

The key to a happy life is variety! Try new recipes and different dishes to explore some new flavors. What you eat on a regular daily basis is what matters most, because it affected your energy levels, physical health, and even your mood. Enjoy your life, but the majority of the time, stick to a balanced food plan. Eating breakfast every day can help in maintaining a healthy weight, reduce hunger, and improve concentration. Enjoy a healthy diet, a fit lifestyle, and a positive self-image. And that is life.
