Eating healthy is not just about satisfying the stomach, but it is also a comfort for the body and a foundation for a healthy body capable of resisting obesity, various diseases, and microbes.
Is there a relationship between what we eat and our susceptibility to diseases?
Yes, there is a strong relationship. The type of food you allow into your body is what protects it from diseases. The more you consume a balanced and healthy diet, the more it protects you from diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and cancer, and it strengthens your immune system.
There are different types of diets, such as athletes’ nutrition, which focuses on vitamins, proteins, and fibers. There is also children’s nutrition, which aims to build their bodies healthily. Clinical nutrition is important for managing various diseases, and intravenous nutrition is used for hospitalized patients. There are many other types of nutrition that cannot be enumerated.
