COVID-19 and Global Health Diplomacy
On August 23rd, 2020 and as part of its knowledge-sharing series, Deraya University had the pleasure to host Dr. Naeema El Gasser, WHO representative in Egypt, to deliver a virtual talk under the title of “COVID-19 and Global Health Diplomacy.”
During the talk, Dr. ElGasser discussed the vital role that WHO has been playing in facing global pandemics, with a particular focus on the efforts exerted to curb COVID-19 spread. At the end of her speech, Dr. El-Gasser answered the different questions received from the university’s teaching staff and students.
During his welcoming remark and thank-you note, Prof. Emad Hamdi Ghoz shaded the light on Deraya’s promising role in enriching the scientific research, discovering remedies and vaccines as well as creating public awareness.
