Deraya University announces its scholarships for the academic year 2015/2016
Deraya University is delighted to announce its scholarships for the academic year 2015/2016. Students who qualify can apply to the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Physiotherapy. Scholarships are divided as follows:
A- Faculty of Pharmacy:
- 5% discount from tuition fees for all students accepted with a score of 95% or higher (100 scholarships).
- Partial scholarships (10-50%) discount dedicated to applicants whose parents are university faculty or Pharmacists and for students with insufficient financial means. These scholarships are provided to students who have not applied to any private or civil (Ahleya) University.
- Full scholarships (no tuition fees) according to the rules listed below.
B- Faculty of Physiotherapy:
- 5% discount from tuition fees for all students accepted with a score of 95% or higher (100 scholarships).
- Partial scholarships (10-50%) discount dedicated to applicants whose parents are university Faculty or Physiotherapists and for students with insufficient financial means. These scholarships are provided to students who have not applied to any private or civil (Ahleya) University.
- Full scholarships (no tuition fees) according to the rules listed below.
Rules of free scholarships in the academic year 2015/2016
Faculty of Pharmacy: 20 scholarships
Faculty of Physiotherapy: 10 scholarships
Who can apply?
- Sons of armed forces officers and Police officers deceased in the line of duty in recognition of their sacrifice for Egypt.
- Egyptian students who are financially incapable of paying tuition fees.
Criteria:
- Applicant should be a graduate of a governmental Egyptian secondary school with a minimum score of 90%.
- Applicant should pass the University English Exam.
Required documents:
- Original certificate of Thanaweya Amma.
- Original Birth Certificate.
- A valid National ID for both parents.
- Death certificate, if one of the parents is passed away.
- For deceased Armed forces and police officer’s sons, providing proof of circumstances.
- For students with financial difficulty:
- Income certificate for the whole family.
- Salary details for both parents whether they work in public or private sector with job title.
- Insurance Number for both parents (if existing) from Insurance Authority.
- A declaration by the student that he/she has not applied for any private or civil (Ahleya) University inside or outside Egypt.
- An agreement to the visit of Social care team to the applicant family at their own house to complete the social research.
- Utilities receipt (electricity, natural gas or water).
General rules:
- If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of scholarships, priority will be given to students with higher Thanaweya Amma score.
- To continue to benefit from the scholarship successful applicant should obtain an average grade of at least “very good” starting from the following year.
- Applications will be carefully checked by the University to ensure that the applicants have submitted the correct data.
- In case of applying any incorrect documents the scholarship will be cancelled by the University administration.
The scholarships applications should be delivered at the University venue from 5/9/2015 to 15/9/2015
