Ramadan Iftar with Alumni at Deraya University

Amazing evening with our alumni at the iftar! It was wonderful to catch up with old friends and hear about their successes since graduation. From starting their own businesses to pursuing advanced degrees, our alumni are making a difference in the world. Grateful for the opportunity to connect and share in the spirit of Ramadan together

Ramadan is a special time of year for Muslims around the world. It is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection on one’s faith and the teachings of Islam. It is also a time for community and connection, as people come together to break their fast each evening with an iftar meal. This year, our alumni community came together for an amazing evening of connection and celebration.

The Iftar was held at the university campus, which had been decorated for the evening with decorations and traditional foods. As alumni arrived, they were greeted with warm hugs and smiles, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Everyone was eager to catch up with old friends and hear about their successes since graduation.

Reconnecting with Old Friends and Hearing About Their Successes

As the evening began, alumni shared stories of their experiences since leaving university. Some had started their own businesses, while others had pursued advanced degrees or taken on leadership roles in their industries. It was inspiring to hear about the impact that our alumni are making in the world, and how they are using their skills and knowledge to make a difference in their communities.

Inspiring Stories of Making a Difference in the World

One alumnus shared his experience of starting his own pharmacy business. He talked about the challenges he had faced along the way, but also about the satisfaction he felt in being able to help his clients. Another alum shared his journey of pursuing a master, and how his research was focused on finding solutions to some of the physical therapy’s most pressing problems.

Throughout the evening, there was a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the connections that had been formed during our time at the university. Many alumni spoke about the lasting friendships they had made and the support they had received from their peers and professors. It was clear that the bonds formed during our time at university had continued to grow and strengthen over the years.

Gratitude for the Connections and Unity of the Alumni Community

As we shared in the spirit of Ramadan together, there was also a sense of unity and compassion. We were reminded of the importance of coming together as a community and using our talents and resources to help those in need. One alum shared her experience of volunteering at the university time, and how it had deepened her understanding of the importance of giving back.

At the end of the evening, as we said our goodbyes and exchanged contact information, there was a sense of excitement for what was to come. Many alumni talked about the possibility of organizing future events and gatherings, and of staying connected in the years to come.

Overall, the iftar was an incredible experience that brought together our alumni community in a meaningful and impactful way. It was a reminder of the power of connection and community, and of the impact that we can have when we come together to support one another. As we move forward, we will carry with us the memories and friendships that were formed during this special evening, and we will continue to make a difference in the world in our own unique ways.
