This was the title of a workshop offered to the senior students of the faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at Deraya University on Monday, November 30, 2020. The workshop was organized by the department of graduate affairs in coordination with the Future Pharmacist Student Association (FPA).

The workshop was moderated by Dr. Usama Ramadan and Dr. Kareem Ebeid. Dr. Ramadan is an associate professor of phytochemistry at Deraya University. He received his Ph.D. from the renowned University of Würzburg in Germany. He was awarded the prestigious STATE ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD in the fields of medical sciences from the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in 2020. Dr. Ebeid is an assistant professor of pharmaceutics at Minia University and Deraya’s president advisor on international cooperation. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in USA. During his studies, Dr. Ebeid received the Graduate Research Excellence Award in the Sciences. Dr. Ramadan and Dr. Ebeid received multiple scholarships during and after their Ph.D. studies.

The workshop covered the requirements needed to apply for scholarships in Germany and USA. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Ramadan and Dr. Ebeid answered the students’ questions, and encouraged them to plan ahead, and to properly invest time and effort to achieve their goals.
